ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Bavaria offers an incubation programme that provides financial, technical and networking support to young companies seeking to make use of technologies, applications, and services from the aerospace industry to start up their business in other areas of the economy.
The ESA BIC Bavaria branch office in Berchtesgadener Land was established in September 2011. The business development associationWirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Berchtesgadener Land and Sparkasse Berchtesgadener Land have been acquired as partners of the branch office.
Start-up firms that utilise satellite navigation and communication, Earth observation, robotics, mechatronics, or other aerospace-related technologies can apply for admission to ESA BIC Bavaria.

Initiative Satellite Navigation Berchtesgadener Land at INTERGEO 2011
Visist our Network at the INTERGEO 2011 from September 27-29 September 2011 in Nuremberg in the context of the Forum for Satellite Navigation by the BMVBS and the DLR.
The Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development together with BITKOM e.V. is organizing the Navigation Conference - Orientation in the intelligent world - September 28th in Nuremberg.
The Navigation Conference is held simultanously to the Intergeo 2011.
Mr. Dipl. Ing. (FH) Wolfgang Inninger, head of the department Material Flow Systems, wil give a lecture on "Flexible Mobility in Rural Areas".

Galileo Roadshow in Rosenheim on october 2011
Galileo-Roadshow will be taking place at University of Applied Science Rosenheim on 13 October 2011.
The Galileo-Roadshow team invites you to inform yourself about the future-project GALILEO. The Roadshow will focus on innovative applications and projects on the basis of GALILEO and GPS. Participating companies present their ideas for master-thesis that can be submitted by students and graduates who are interested in this subject. The presentations of the companies will be followed by discussions concerning GALILEO and its possible applications in the future.
The Roadshow will be organized by the Bavarian satellite navigation cluster bavAIRia, University of Applied Science Rosenheim, Initiative Satellite Navigation Berchtesgadener Land and Rosik e.V.

Objective of Ahorn 2011
The Austrian Association for Navigation (OVN) is organizing with the German (DGON) and Swiss (CH-ION) navigation associations the three nations conference AHORN 2011 in Imst (Tyrol) on 17 and 18 November 2011.
The alpine region and its challenges in the field of navigation and exchange of information will be in focus of the meeting. Issues to be addressed will be:
- Search and rescue services
- Civil protection
- Tracking movement of aeroplanes
- Climate change in the alps
- Tourism
- different applications
The main objective of the conference is the connection between theory and practice. You are invited to join the conference with a contribution - if you are interested, please send an abstract - not longer than one page to stephan.mayer@ffg.at (Deadline 27 September 2011).
